“THE EXTRAS”

During our ideation phase for this concept, we had a few questions we wanted to answer. How can we bring people to us? How can we engage our local community differently from what others have done up until now? How do we do so in a way that’s true to Nana as an artist and a person? We thought a self-published, in-house, creatively produced newspaper was the way to go and to double down on the theme, we thought up a newsstand pop-up to go with it.

“The Extras” Newsprint and Newsstand became a multi-functional marketing solution. It promoted Nana’s upcoming show, drew attention to his newly released EP, and effectively organized an in-person meet and greet. Supporters were given a numbered and signed complimentary newspaper with every ticket purchase, limited edition “‘Wit the Extras” tee, or official artist merch.
